Day 5: Three Colors Trilogy (Blue)

Review: If you thought this movie was going to be quirky and cute because Juliette Bionoche has an Amelie-like hair cut, think again! This movie is brutal and beautiful in equal measure. Throughout the duration of movie, I kept wondering how much more I could watch the lead endure. The specific plot of this movie is gut wrenching, but the theme of trying to leave your past behind you only to find its everywhere you look, is universally relatable. While Blue took a lot out of me emotionally, I'm really looking forward to the next movie in the series.
