Day 31: Philomena

Review: What a sweet and wonderful woman Philomena is! Apart from Harold and Maude, I can't really think of another movie where I am brimming with love for an older woman character, which is odd, because who is more deserving of affection than a sweet aged lady? I somehow had never heard about the true story of Philomena and was really affected by what she and her son endured at the hand of the Catholic church. It's angering, and I found myself yelling about God while watching. But no matter where your politics lie, I believe anyone would enjoy the great performances from Judi Dench and the ever dry Steve Coogan.
