Day 33: Tangerine

Review: Here's why I think this movie is good: There's no lesson. It centers around transgender identity, prostitution, and drugs; all issues that have a history of being glorified or defamed in Hollywood, but instead of a deep dive, this movie felt like a warm snap shot of a world that is often treated as dark, bleak, and worthy of our contempt. There is no judgement in this movie, and it left me feeling an affection for the two leads and humanity itself! While I wouldn't call this movie a pick me up, I consider it optimistic. Bonus: I work up the street from Donut Time.
